PQ Ribber reads a 'Vic and Sade' fiction
PQ Ribber reads a 'Vic and Sade' fiction written in the early 1940's; you'll be surrounded there also by some hack (Jimbo) who has written a few little tunes about 'Vic and Sade'. It's all in fun - please do not throw vegetables at the participants!

My next "Vic and Sade" project
There are oodles of things I'd like to do before I die and about 99% of those things revolve around this crazy "Vic and Sade" show. I have unfinished projects everywhere I look and I know there are a bazillion errors in this website (grammatical and otherwise). All that aside, when I get done inputting these scripts and making the additions and changes, I'd love to make up a database of the chronology of the show. We have a chronology of the production of the show. but what I would like to do is have a quick way where can see what went on episode to episode. I'm not sure exactly how I will do this or how to keep track of these things... a real database may be the way to go.
If anyone has any ideas or would like to help in this project, please let me know. I suspect this will start sometime in December.

A script for 35-02-22 Vic's Dinner Invitation to Mr. Buller
Until now, we only had a scrawny script synopsis for 35-02-22 Vic's Dinner Invitation to Mr. Buller. However, we have been blessed now with a full script. It was loads of fun to do and it was pleasure to remove most of the pencil markings. That's a ton of work (it took about 6 hours) but we are rewarded with a nicer script.
I totally re-wrote and added on to the original post, so enjoy!

New script for 44-06-15 A Letter From Bess - Listen Please
And so it begins - again!
A new script is up for the show we call 44-06-15 A Letter From Bess - Listen Please. It's fun to see what stuff was taken out due to time constraints, if nothing else (in this one, Vic was supposed to talk about what high times he has down at the office, with his coconut oil, tropical music and all...)

A Couple of Notes
You'll be happy to note that my scanner is working very well. I have found many scripts that we previously didn't have and I'm not through looking yet!
A couple of notes I found:
A couple of notes I found:
- For years, I assumed it would be impossible to get the "Vic and Sade" audio that belonged to the Library of Congress. I am sure a lot of you assumed the same thing. Well, I just found out that Barbara Schwarz obtained a lot of that material from the LOC for The Friends of Vic and Sade, (I assume in the 1980's). Seems logical, although, I never knew about it until today. I'm pretty sure this is the material we have from the 1944 run.
- In the early days of the internet, there seems to have been quite a fear from The Friends of Vic and Sade that if they posted any "Vic and Sade" audio online that the FBI would come calling.
Good News
Hey everyone! We got another box of contributions from a former Friends of Vic and Sade member and I am going through it all now. I also got my scanner to work on my new computer, so it looks like there will be new material to post soon.
We were going to do a Vic and Sadecast this week; this will probably be postposned a bit.
Thanks!

Behind the Bright Kentucky Hotel Nemesis?
This may not be an original idea put forth here; it is almost impossible to remember everything that I have heard and read about "Vic and Sade" throughout the time I have been following the show as closely as I have. There's a good chance I am either repeating the thoughts of Paul Rhymer (from a magazine or newspaper article), from a member of "The Friends of Vic and Sade" or I could have read it on a forum somewhere in the last six years. However, I think it is an original idea. And it really is as simple as adding one and one together for the informed fan.
Though we have little to go by, there seems to be no doubt that the engineers of the Chicago-Alton Railway had it in for the bachelors at the Bright Kentucky Hotel. One reason we know this can found in the article here.
And who is the one guy on the show that "has it in" for Mr. Gumpox (and Howard)? That's right kids, Mr. Donahue the Chicago-Alton Railway engineer. I am quite certain a story is missing where we find out Mr. Gumpox (or Howard) has committed some other atrocity against Mr. Donahue and in doing so, has riled him up so much that he gets the whole gang of engineers to terrorize the Bright Kentucky whenever they fly past.

The effect of Barbara Schwarz and the Friends of Vic and Sade
"Vic and Sade" - This chart clearly shows that it was around 1950 that the show was on it's last legs. Maybe more importantly, it seems to show how popular Barbara Schwarz and the Friends of Vic and Sade made the show. (There is no data after 2008, so there is no way for us to check recent popularity).
