A small house halfway up the next block

A very large panoram of Bloomington, Illinois, probably pre-WWII.  I've posted this photo before but this is the largest one I have ever seen.  To the right of the courthouse is the People's Bank building.

The candy factory

Pauline Delacey worked at the candy factory. You might remember her as the gal who spread it around town that Vic had a "heart-shaped-face".

The candy factory is only mentioned in passing in that one known episode. But a little research shows there was an enormous candy factory in Bloomington during the show's run and that factory made Whiz Bars, which are quite famous apparently in Midwest candy bar lore.

 

Did she work there and make Whiz Bars? I'm guessing she did.
