For some reason, the Library of Congress has chosen to save the "Vic and Sade" episode, "Decoration Day" as part of their collection, according to this article from the Washington Post.
Since "Decoration Day" was chosen, one would think whoever was in charge of choosing simply took the recording that was easiest to retrieve (either physically or via list) and chose that one, since it is the earliest known "Vic and Sade" recording left that we know about.
