Blue Tooth in Series I

Thanks to Mis' Sarah Cole, who let me in on the fact that actor Leonard Smith was on a recent Those Were the Days podcast.  In the podcast, he says he played Blue Tooth Johnson right after Bill Idelson went into the Navy.

Previously, we had been led to believe the actor who played that part was Dick Thoerne, but now we know different.  If Smith's name doesn't ring a bell, well, he also played the part of Stretch Snodgrass on radio's "Our Miss Brooks".

The mystery of Thelma Todd

Thelma Todd was a nice-looking, funny actress who worked with the likes of Laurel and Hardy and the Marx Brothers.  She mysteriously died in 1935.

What is interesting to the fans of "Vic and Sade" is that the cast of the show received a letter from her, shortly after they were informed of her death.  It may have been that the postal card was the last thing she had written, or certainly, one of the very last things she wrote.

There's a new book about her and her death and the mystery behind it all.  Whether or not the book addresses the "Vic and Sade" postal card or not is not known by me.

Still sick - Vic and Sadecast is on hold...

Sorry everyone, but I am still quite ill and so, no Vic and Sadecast until this sickness is over. Don't give up on me - I hope to be back soon.

No Vic and Sadecast this week

Hey everyone, I'm sorry to report that because of my illness, a heat wave and a yet-to-form but-soon-will tropical storm that is (or will be within hours) headed directly my way with about 3-4" of rain, there will be no Vic and Sadecast this week.

I hope to return (with PQ Ribber) next week, although there is a chance that the podcast will go on hiatus during the Summer and would return in October - but that has yet to be determined. Please check back next weekend for more details.
